“Soon after I took my first clay printing class, my guest bedroom became a clay print studio. As a novice artist, I have been challenged by the mechanical and artists aspects of print making. What is the hardest? Working to get the image from your head on to a clay slab for a print–and remembering to think backwards!”
Karen Kimball first learned the process of clay monoprinting in 2008,
and she has been addicted ever since. This is one of her original monoprints.
View her latest prints and learn about this innovative print making process at the Art Co-Op from October 1-31, 2010.
Part of the First Saturday Arts Event, visit with her at the Artist Reception on Saturday, October 2 from 12-4 pm.
